Excerpt from potential work on the sons of God

 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 8:29

Speaking of the Second Adam, the Lord Jesus, who is the preeminent son among sons, it logically follows that the first Adam, like Joseph, was the favoured among his elder brethren.   

Genesis 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

If we follow the creation of Adam, as the steward and new ruler with dominion of the earth, though a late comer to the terrestrial scene he is the first man.  Though made in the image of God like the sons of God, he was made "Lower" than they.  Just as Christ was made a little lower than the angels and would taste death for every man. Hebrews 2:9

 1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

Genesis 30:25 And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.

When Adam is brought into being he is ushered into a new world of God's making, a glorious garden set apart from other dominions, a fresh start after the fall of proud Satan from Heaven.

Genesis 37:23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;

Unfortunately, the jealous deceiver Satan stripped Adam of his righteous rule, an assassination attempt that left blood on Adams garments, from a freshly killed victim. 
     

Genesis 37:31 And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

Adam was deposed from the paradise of Gods creation, escaping only by the grace of Gods redirected wrath.  The answer to the question of why God let Lucifer tempt his Son, in the perfect world,  is unequivocally this:  "ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." Genesis 50:20  As we see, this is exactly what happened.  Adams fall brought about the salvation of many through Jesus Christ. 

Now I said "perfect world"  but was this true?  Yes God "made good" his creation in six days, the firmament of heaven however was conspicuously neglected in the pronunciation of blessing in Gen1.7.  Many things were called good in Gods act of reclamation, but not the heaven.  In the garden there was a specifically denominated tree "of good and evil"  how could evil exist in a perfect world?    Not only that, what business on God's good earth does an evil entity called the Serpent?  

We now embrace what most relegate to the heretical and preposterous, but what is found in the pages of scripture.  Adam, was not the first sinner, Lucifer was.  Had Lucifer not sinned Adam would never have been created.  The world would have remained as it "then was" 2 Peter 3:6, and the covering Cherub would have remained in governance over the terrestrial realms. Luke 4:6,  Eze 28:13-16. 

Lucifer wanted to ascend above the stars, Isa 14:13 Joseph told his brothers they would bow to him, as the stars in his dream. Lucifer will be cast into the pit, Isa 14:15 Joseph was temporarily cast into a pit, Ge 37:24.

Genesis 37:29 And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes. 30 And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

Jesus was temporarily placed in a tomb, where he arose from after three days.

John 20:13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. 15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

 As Christ was in the heart of the earth, Matthew 12:40, Joseph also spent time in in prison for the sin of someone else.  Ge 39:20  Joseph while in prison preached to the inmates as Christ did.  1Pe 3:18-20  1Pe 4:6  While Joseph was in prison, he prophesied that in three days Pharaoh's butler would be set free, as Christ led captivity captive. Eph 4:8-10 While the baker was delivered the message of condemnation, just as the spirits in hell were spoiled Col 2:15.

     

Genesis 41:50 And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On bare unto him.

Adams two sons, Cain and Abel start a prophetic pattern forecast in Genesis 3, the first prophesy in scripture. This first prophesy, coming from the lips of God should merit extra attention, seeing as it sets the revelatory climate for the rest of scripture.  Even before Adam and his wife are rebuked for their sin, God pronounces judgment on the serpent, and utters the first prophetic statement in the Bible. ...I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15

It is abundantly clear that Cain was the first type of Antichrist, the Seed of the Serpent, who's first inclination is to thwart the will of Almighty, and spill the first righteous blood on earth. 

1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

Was this a mundane, simple act of thoughtless murder?  Or is there a more purposeful explanation for Cain's actions, that may be inferred.   In light of the First prophesy, this would seem the serpent's first strike at the godly seed of humanity.  The Devil's plan; eliminate any chance of a deadly confrontation with the Seed of the Woman, of at least prolong the culmination of such an event for as long as possible.  Always cultivate a usurper for the purpose of overturning the Heavenly proclamation.
